This itty bitty lionhead rabbit has long fluffy fur and the cutest little ears and nose. Commercial forms are not available for animals this small so I had to make every part by hand making this a labor of love… I think it turned out pretty dang cute! Baby animals are not commonly mounted because they’re especially delicate and often do not survive the mounting process, making this a particularly rare mount. About the hide: The hide for this mount was sourced from a long-haired, very fluffy domestic breed of rabbit called a lionhead. I rescued a doe last summer and she had kits shortly after; this was one I named Rootbeer. Sadly, as this was my first time owing rabbits, I was unaware that morning glory flowers are highly toxic and unfortunately, while Rootbeer was hopping about my garden, she ate some and passed shortly after. While saddened by her untimely death, I am comforted by the idea of her living on as a piece of art, to be admired and enjoyed for possibly generations.
